Who are you, and why should I care?

I am the Rev. Aaron Ochart, and am currently serving John Calvin Presbyterian church in Metairie, Louisiana (Just outside New Orleans). I have been preaching from the Narrative Lectionary, and am generally a Bible nerd, so I thought that I would add to the ongoing conversation about the Narrative Lectionary and share the things that I have learned along the way. As you know, there are not as many resources for this lectionary as there are for the Reformed Common Lectionary.

Why is there a Subscription option?

The vast majority of my Substacks will be be available to everyone, but I am including a subscription to give you the chance to participate. If you find this resource helpful (and you are financially able to) I would appreciate your financial support. This subscription provides a way for you to financially support the ongoing ministry of John Calvin Presbyterian Church (it is not a side-hustle for me). Your subscription fee, should you choose to subscribe, will go to the church’s general fund for its ongoing ministry. It is in no way a payment for this service, just a way to mutually suport one another.
